The song is called Ode to Odette (The Whistle Song). It is about the December 2021 Supertyphoon called Odette that devastated 9 islands in the Philippines, including mine, leaving us with a dark Christmas season.
It is a quiet, with a bit dark, a bit whimsical folk track, with a hooky whistle chorus channelling a Western vibe.
It is a tribute to surviving, learning, pickup the pieces and letting go.
This is the 3rd song in my LP called A Side of Grief. Releasing it this time as the typhoon season started early for us this year.

(Whistle)
Sky's clear
But I've been told a storm is coming
The smell of petrichor is rising
As it's filling up the air, oh,
What have they got brewing way up there
Who knows
Storm's here
Hold your breath and feel it coming
I hear the whistle of the wind
Turn into howling as they grumble
Wings of an angel in the rumble now
It's huffing and it's puffing
Are you anchored down?
It shakes what can be shaken
Till the lost is found
(whistle)
Know what you hold tight
And you let go
(whistle)
Know what you hold tight
And you let go
Storm's clear
Will you find yourself in pieces?
Your pride in life and what defines you
All but changes in the darkness
All may not make sense but you'll find
Less is more
The huffing and the puffing
Turns the upside down
It took what can be taken
But there's love around
(whistle)
Know what you hold tight
And you let go
(whistle)
Know what you hold tight
And you let go
(whistle)
Know what you hold tight
And you let go
Let go
